Casein paint

Here is the finished product. Milk paint normally dries matte, though sometimes it will yield a satin finish.

You can keep the casein solution (binder or paint) in the refrigerator for about 3-5 weeks if prepared with lime or borax and more if you used the ammonium carbonate.

In either case, the paint will have to be disposed of as soon as you see or smell any mold or rot.
