How to make watercolor & gouache

Just like when you are making oil paints, you will need a thick piece of glassto work on and some flexible steel spatulas. Put the desired amount of dry pigment on the glass surface, make a space (hole) in the center and add your gum Arabic solution with with a bit of water.

The more gum Arabic solution is added, the shinier the watercolor will be. However, if the paint crackles it is generally because too much gum Arabic has been used.
